Poha

Ingredients


  1. 2 medium onion finely sliced

  2. 1 medium potato cut in cubes

  3. 1 small bowl peas

  4. 1-2 green chilies finely chopped

  5. 1 small cauliflower cut (optional)

  6. 1 lemon juice

  7. 2-3 tbsp roasted peanuts (optional)

  8. 1 cup poha washed nicely

  9. 1 tsp sugar

  10. Salt to taste

  11. 1 tsp red chili powder

  12. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  13. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  14. 1 tsp coriander powder

  15. 2 tbsp mustard oil

  16. 2 tsp mustard seeds

  17. 10-12 curry leaves

Procedure



  1. Take a kadai and heat oil

  2. Add mustard seeds to crackling sounds

  3. Add curry leaves and sauté for a min

  4. Add potatoes and sugar cook well for 7-8 mins on low flame while covering it with a lid

  5. Add onions and cook well for 7-8 mins

  6. Add peas and mix well and cover it with a lid on low flame for 5 mins

  7. In meantime, add all spices in washed poha and lemon juice

  8. Add the poha in the kadai and mix well

  9. Add peanuts and add 2-3 tbsp water and cover with lid for 2-3 mins


For Serving

Garnish it with sauce and alloo bhujia/ sev and serve hot
