Aam Ki Launji

Ingredients


  1. 3 raw mangoes (peeled and chopped)

  2. 1/2 tsp cumin

  3. 1/2 tsp sauf (fennel seeds)

  4. 1/2 tsp methi dana (fenugreek seeds)

  5. 1/2 tsp kalonji (nigelle seeds)

  6. 2.5-3 tbsp sugar

  7. 1 tsp salt

  8. 1/2 tsp red chili powder

  9. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  10. 1/2 tsp coriander powder

  11. 1/2 cup water

  12. 1 tbsp mustard oil

  1. Heat oil in a pan.

  2. Add cumin, methi dana, kalonji, sauf and allow them to crackle.

  3. Add raw mangoes and mix well, cook for 4-5 mins on low flame.

  4. Cover it with a lid and cook for 8-10 mins on low flame.

  5. Remove the lid, give it a nice mix.

  6. Add spices and sugar mix well.

  7. Add water and mix well.

  8. Cover it with lid, cook for 8-10 mins on low flame.

  9. Keep stiring in between, till mangoes texture softens.



For Serving

Serve cold launji with lunch/ dinner and beat the summer heat.
