Khatte Aloo

Ingredients


  1. 4-5 big potatoes (cut in cubes)

  2. 2-3green chili finely chopped

  3. 1 onion finely sliced

  4. 1-2 tomatoes finely chopped

  5. 1/2 cup imli water

  6. 1/2 lemon juice

  7. 1-2 tsp cumin

  8. Pinch of asafetida

  9. Salt to taste

  10. 1/2 tsp red chili powder

  11. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  12. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  13. 1 tsp coriander powder

  14. 1 tbsp mustard oil

  1. Heat oil in a pan

  2. Add cumin and asafetida and toss for a min.

  3. Add onions and cook till it changes color.

  4. Add green chilies and sauté for a min.

  5. Add tomatoes and cook well for 7-8 mins.

  6. Add potatoes and mix well.

  7. Add spices and mix well.

  8. Add imli water and mix well.

  9. Add lemon juice, mix well.

  10. Cook for 7-8 or till the water evaporates.

For Serving

Serve hot with phulka and enjoy Khatte Aloo
