Navratri Special Shahi Makhana Paneer

(Serves 4-5)




Ingredients


  1. 400gm paneer cut in cubes or in triangle

  2. 1/4th cup foxnuts/ makhana (roasted)

  3. 6-7 tomatoes chopped

  4. 2 green chilies chopped

  5. Grated ginger

  6. 1-2 tbsp cashews

  7. Salt to taste (Senda Namak)

  8. 1 tsp red chili powder

  9. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  10. 1/4 tsp sugar

  11. 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

  12. 2 tbsp ghee

  13. 1 cup water

  14. 1 bay leaf

  15. 1 cup milk

  16. Water as per need


Procedure






  1. Take a pan add chopped tomatoes, ginger, green chilies and cashew.

  2. Add 1 cup water and cover it with a lid and Cook till it turns mushy on low medium flame.

  3. Let it cool. And then grind it together.

  4. In. the same pan and add ghee.

  5. Add tomato paste and cook for 8-10 mins.

  6. Add spices and bring a nice boil.

  7. Add cardamom powder and sugar and mix well.

  8. Bring a nice boil.

  9. On low flame, add milk, give it a nice mix.

  10. Let it cook for 5-7 mins on low flame.

  11. Add paneer cubes and foxnuts, give it a nice mix and cook for 2-3 mins.



For Serving


Garnish your Shahi Paneer Makhana with fresh cream and serve it !!
