Stuffed Onion Apple Gourd

(Serves 2)





Ingredients


  1. 500 gms apple guard (small in size)

  2. 4-5 small onions

  3. 2-3 tbsp mustard oil

  4. Kasuri methi for garnishing


For stuffing

  1. 1 tsp salt

  2. 1 tsp red chili powder

  3. 1 tsp dry mango powder

  4. 1 tsp coriander powder


Procedure





  1. Peel the apple guard and wash it.

  2. Now make a cross section slice on each apple guard and onions.

  3. Do not cut it entirely.

  4. Mix all the spices together.

  5. Stuff apple guard and onion with spices.

  6. Heat oil in a pan.

  7. Add apple guard and onions in the pan, cook on low flame.

  8. Cover it with a lid.

  9. In between keep stiring it.

  10. After 15 mins or when soft in texture add remaining spices and mix well.

  11. Further cover it with lid and cook for 14-15 mins on low flame.


For Serving

Garnish it with kasuri methi and serve hot with phulka, curd and salad.
