Ingredients
1 big cup imli water (3-4 hrs soaked)
1 cup grated jaggery or sugar
1.5-2 cups water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/4 tsp asafetida
1-2 tbsp melon seeds
1 tbsp oil
Procedure
Heat oil in a kadai.
Add cumin seeds, red chili powder and asafetida.
Toss for a min or two.
Add imli water and mix well.
Add water.
Cook for 8-10 mins.
Add jaggery and mix well.
Add salt, cook further for 20-25 mins on medium low flame.
Add melon seeds and cook for 10-15 mins.
It should be in medium consistency.
For Serving
Serve your Sonth along with Samosa, Papdi Chat, Gol Gappe, Dhokla , Khandvi balls and enjoy!!
